Un sistema informatico potrebbe aiutare a combattere la caduta dei capelli. L’ARTAS System brevettato dalla Carolina Dermatology Hair Center, di Charlotte, Stati Uniti, è stato approvato per l’uso dal governo degli Stati Uniti. Secondo Jerry Cooley, responsabile del progetto, sono circa 35 milioni gli uomini affetti da alopecia androgenetica, la normale calvizie.
Il prodotto realizzato in collaborazione con la Restoration Robotics Inc., promette di fornire un sistema interattivo e computer-assistito che usa una tecnologia guidata dalle immagini per rinforzare la qualità del follicolo, in modo da apportare rapidi benefici ai pazienti che abbiano necessità di usarlo.
”Il sistema ARTAS rappresenta una nuova arma in piu’ nella pratica medica tradizionale. Un approccio sofisticato che porterà immensi benefici” ha commentato Cooley.
