Psicologia: l’uomo stressato è attratto dalla donna grassa

Lo stress rende gli uomini in grado di apprezzare di più le donne “pesanti” e in sovrappeso. In pratica, sostiene la ricerca della Westminster University di Londra, gli uomini che si sentono stressati e attraversano un periodo particolarmente snervante e caotico saranno maggiormente attratti da una partner grassa o con qualche chilo in più.
L’associazione è stata descritta nei dettagli sulla rivista ‘Plos One’. I ricercatori, guidati da Viren Swami, hanno analizzato come gli uomini stressati e non stressati abbiano reagito alla visione di immagini di corpi femminili che variavano dall’emaciato all’obeso.
Per scoprire che il gruppo stressato ha dato voti molto più elevati alle figure in sovrappeso rispetto al gruppo non stressato. Gli stressati hanno trovato più interessanti e accattivanti le donne di taglie maggiori.
“I risultati – scrivono gli autori – sono coerenti con l’idea che le persone adulte idealizzano e preferiscono caratteri morfologici come la dimensione del corpo piu’ grossa in costanza di una minaccia ambientale come lo stress”.
